The Art of Alignment

Want to deepen your understanding of yoga postures? Proper alignment creates freedom in your yoga practice.


Join Sheri for a 2-hour workshop to help deepen your knowledge of yoga asanas (poses) and thus refining your yoga practice! We’ll focus on foundational principles of each asana with pranayama (breathwork) weaved in throughout. We’ll discuss biomechanics of each pose and dive deep into how our muscles, bones and joints work together to create each unique shape. We will also talk about the importance of alignment in injury prevention and overall healing. Proper alignment equals freedom in our yoga practice.

This will be an open Q&A workshop with lots of demonstration, props, and hands-on adjustments!

About the Instructor:
Sheri Welsh (RYT200, RCYT95) began practicing yoga in 2007 to stretch out her sore running muscles, only to find out that the benefits reached far beyond the physical! After years of hatha, hot yoga, and vinyasa classes, she landed on practicing the Iyengar tradition (even throughout her pregnancy!) to deepen her knowledge of this ancient practice. Sheri loves the energy exchange that takes place while she teaches, and is always on the quest to grow and learn from her students and mentors alike.
