Janelle Hibler

Yoga, Barre & Pilates Instructor
Certified Reiki and Energy Healing Practitioner

Janelle Hibler is a Yoga, Barre, and Pilates instructor, as well as a certified Reiki and Energy Healing Practitioner, whose work is rooted in a simple belief: healing begins when we create space to listen to ourselves.

Her journey into wellness has been anything but linear. What began more than a decade ago through Barre evolved into a deeper exploration of movement, mindfulness, and healing. During a season of personal challenge and transformation, Janelle discovered both yoga and Reiki, practices that helped her reconnect with her body, calm her nervous system, and find steadiness amidst uncertainty. What started as personal healing soon became a calling to support others on their own journeys.

Today, Janelle’s approach blends strength and softness, movement and stillness, effort and ease. Whether guiding a Barre class, leading students through a yoga practice, teaching Pilates, or offering an energy healing session, her intention remains the same: to create a space where people feel supported, empowered, and connected to themselves.

She values hard work, honest self-reflection, and showing up for yourself, but she also believes that movement should be enjoyable, that laughter is medicine, and that sometimes the most meaningful breakthroughs happen when we stop trying so hard. Her classes blend strength, mindfulness, and accessibility, meeting people where they are. Some days that means challenging yourself. Some days it means slowing down and listening. Either way, Janelle’s goal is to create a space where people feel supported, encouraged, and free to be fully themselves.

Janelle received her Reiki certifications through the San Francisco Reiki Center, where she also trained as an intern and continued her studies through mentorship and ongoing practice. Her work has continued to evolve over time, including training in Animal Reiki, which she considers one of the most meaningful extensions of her practice. She feels honored to support both people and animals through energy healing that promotes calm, balance, and nervous system regulation.

A lifelong lover of nature, Janelle draws inspiration from the rhythms of the natural world. Time spent practicing yoga and experiencing wildlife conservation work in Namibia profoundly shaped her understanding of presence, interconnectedness, and intentional living. Those lessons continue to influence how she holds space for others today.

When she’s not teaching or working with clients, Janelle is usually outside somewhere in North Lake Tahoe, either on her bike or near the water. At home, she’s with her cats Maui and Kona, and she stays deeply connected to wildlife conservation work that has become a foundational part of her life and personal journey.

Her connection to elephants, in particular, has shaped how she moves through the world, grounding her in a deeper sense of presence, care, and interconnectedness. She is a foster “elephant mom” to orphaned elephants across Africa and Asia, a role that keeps her deeply connected to their care, protection, and long-term well-being.

Whether you join Janelle on the mat, at the barre, or on the healing table, her hope is that you leave feeling a little more grounded, a little more connected, and a little more at home within yourself.
